Motorcycle boots.

For connoisseurs. Worth every cent. Since 1957.

The story of daytona®. Told by the founders Reinhard und Helmut Frey.

  • 1957

In 1957 our family founded the Frey shoe factory in Eggenfelden.

  • 1962

In 1962 we developed the first motorcycle boots.
Back then, motorcycle boots were more everyday products than they are today – and therefore often lined with fur for the cold days.

  • 1968

The first boots for racing riders were delivered as early as 1968.

  • 1973

We have been manufacturing motorcycle boots under the daytona brand since 1973®.

After a few years of experience, we know that our philosophy is right. The 1981 catalog therefore said: ... We are not a cheap manufacturer, we neither want nor can be. What we make is a top product that only uses high quality materials. For us, quality and perfect workmanship come first ...

  • 1985

With the MX model, a motocross boot with numerous protective parts and a plastic outer shell, we are breaking new ground in development. This year it was not yet clear to us that the idea would lead us to the two-shell boot.

  • 1990

The Vario Tech was one of the most popular models at the time, because it was two boots in one. A motorcycle boot with a high shaft. The shaft was removable, what was left was a motorcycle sneaker.

  • 1993

With the Security Evo two-shell boot, we have succeeded in creating an important product for the safety of motorcyclists. After long years of development and in cooperation with the then leading Grand Prix riders.

  • Today

Today, our products stand for the highest levels of safety, durability, a comfortable fit and exceptional comfort even when walking around the world. Because our motorcycle boots consist of around 120 individual parts. They are made in Lower Bavaria. By hand. From excellent employees. And with selected, first-class raw material.

That's how it was before, and that's how it will remain. So that you and we can also say in the future: motorcycle boots from daytona® are worth every cent.
