The same boots for 23 years - can they ever break?
I bought these boots over 20 years ago because they were comfortable to wear straight away and gave me a good feeling. In the meantime, I've changed my bike - I only ride maxi scooters - 4 times, but the boots are still the same. I've been on the Grossglockner at 5 degrees, on Lake Garda at 30 degrees and in the Ore Mountains in pouring rain and never had wet or cold feet. I only had to have the soles replaced, but that was no problem thanks to the first-class repair service. I'm beginning to wonder whether these boots can break at all ;-)
Stories with daytona®
Only the feet warm and dry
On the way back from Italy, I was surprised by cold, including rain and snow, shortly before the Furkapass. So I put on all the clothes I could find in my luggage, including thick socks. I still froze, but my feet stayed warm and dry thanks to the Daytona Road GTX.
Very comfortable boot with GORE-TEX material – i like this!
It keeps me warm during spring and fall season, and dry in unexpected raining conditions! Good grip on the sole and extra protected section at the shifter position. Easy entry in case of a long zipper and additional adjustment options at the calf side for optimal fitting or needed extra space for inserting my pants. Also the quality of this boot is really outstanding. My boot is from 2015! Nearly 7 Years old and it’s looking like a brand new one. Fortunately I have no experiences about the behavior in accidents, but the shaft protection looks good. I highly recommend my boot and it fits great to the rest of my leather clothes. 10 of 10 points.
These boots saved my foot
daytona – it doesn't get any better than this
As you may not be able to see, I always wear my Spirit GTX. I've had the boots since 2016, the sole was renewed once and the pad on top (which is basically not possible with many other manufacturers) and what can I write, my second pair (I don't want to name the manufacturer) is already slowly gathering dust in the cupboard because my foot simply and always cries out for the Daytona's. I have a custom insole in the boot and it is simply perfect. I have an individual insole in the boot and it's just perfect. In my opinion, the boot can only replace Daytona, so maybe I'll be lucky :) My overall rating: the perfect boot for me, in my opinion it couldn't be better, and it has been for years and more than 100,000 kilometres. THANKS

Always good at the start with daytona
daytonas year of construction 1975
This motorbike is Bj, 1977 with H-registration, My wife's motorbike boots are approx. 2 years older and have also been on the road with a Honda CB 500 Four. They visited Austria, Italy, Yugoslavia, Switzerland and France. I became aware of your raffle because I recently bought new motorbike boots locally in Eggenfelden. Unfortunately, I had overlooked the company holiday. Nevertheless, I got my motorbike boots. Thank you very much again for this.
75 per cent share - experience speaks for Daytona
Dear Daytona team, I was in the Grand Canyon Du Verdon (Verdon Gorge) in Provence last week with a guided tour. We were 8 participants from all over Germany of a "more mature" age with correspondingly long practical experience. Of the 8 participants, 6 wore Daytona boots. All of them decided in favour of your brand due to many years of varying positive experiences. This ratio alone is proof of the decades of quality of your motorbike boots. Thank you
Always dry feet even in constant rain in the Arctic Circle
We were in Norway 2019 and had continuous rain. And it was very cold. I had to buy wool socks there. That was at the Arctic Circle. One of the few sunny moments. But only around 10 degrees. We were going to stay for 3 weeks and went home after two. But I always had dry feet. The boots are worth every penny. Still have them.
You can't walk on water with Daytonas. You bet.
There you go! My first real motorbike boots (1983) were already Daytonas (at that time with the rear zip and leather gearshift reinforcement) and since then again and again - because registering motorbike boots is not something you want to do that often. Because it takes time. So I prefer quality that is also repaired! With many thanks for 40 years of happy feet while biking, Andreas Woest
Perfect stand thanks to daytona
Buying my BMW r1200r in 2020: does my leg length fit with my Daytona Lady Star GTX 38? Fits perfectly, bike bought.
Been riding with Daytona motorbike boots for years.
Always dry feet and reliable.
The foot surgeon asked which shoe protected me so well
Hello dear Daytona team. I've been riding your Daytona Trans Open GTX (still the first pair) for several years and now well over 100,000 km. They have also been overhauled by you, everything is top notch. I have never had such good boots in my long moped life (well over 350,000 km). Now, on Sunday, I had an accident and it has been shown that the investment in Daytona boots has absolutely paid off. Even the hand and foot surgeon asked what kind of boots I was wearing. The Daytonas have avoided any major mischief, I'm totally thrilled. My foot could be completely lumpy, but I only suffered a fractured ankle, which probably - since it hasn't shifted, also due to the support of the boots - won't need surgery. From here, thank you very much again for producing such good boots. They are worth every penny. Kudos to Daytona, keep up the good work. In my opinion there is no better moped boot.
With friendly biker greetings,
Markus Pirrung
Daytona - always right.
Regardless of whether it is a race track or a sporty tour, whether wet or dry ... Daytona boots are always just right!!!
Equipped for the entire season
End of season, boots all cleaned and ready for the next season. We wish all season drivers a winter that goes by quickly. For winter drivers a good and, above all, accident-free journey through the cold season. Stay healthy. Manuela and Martin
The Roadstar has protected me perfectly
For over 20 years I have been traveling with Daytonastiefeln throughout Europe (preferably in the south;-). Have worn out 2 pairs so far. The next ones will be Daytona Roadstar or Touringstar again. I was 6 years ago with my Versys on the way from Rovereto to Foxi (Touringfahrerhotel) on the road. In a small town I overtook a slow car at the end of the town and accelerated hard. Unfortunately, I realized too late that immediately after the place comes a 90 degree right turn. I jerked again after the car to the right. Unfortunately so violently that I almost touched the railing of the bridge (which came shortly before the bend) on the right. Quick-witted I pulled up my right foot. The foot was squeezed between the tank and the upper railing. Somehow I still took the curve. Later in the hotel room I saw that I had a large bruise on my toes (from the squeeze). If I hadn't had the sturdy Daytonas on, I'm sure it would have hit the foot worse. The Roadstar saved me from a broken foot that way. Armin Seefied, Germany
Great Tour with daytona
Seth Cooper, USA
Extreme. Good.
10-day, 4,000-kilometer tour whatever the weather. And I always had dry and warm feet.

Experienced a lot
This is just one of many experiences with daytona boots, here at a safety training session.
Insider tip
Small round around the Rofan Mountains (Achensee / Tyrol), has an insider tip character. The time-dependent open off-road route from Steinberg to Aschau is one of the few legally accessible routes in Austria. We drove the route on 09/26/2021 in perfect weather.
Top quality...
... has been inspiring for years.

New motorcycle - and new Daytona boots with it!
At some point it had to be - finally a new sports tourer in my garage! After spending 25 very happy years with my Kawasaki GPZ1100 (built in 1995), I finally wanted to treat myself to a new toy at the end of the 2021 season. The decision was actually quite simple - it had to be a Kawasaki again, of course, and the choice fell on a ZZR1400 (because of the design it had to be model year 2011) with superbike handlebars. What else is there to do with that? After I was more than convinced of the quality and customer service of Frey Daytona and have been a loyal customer for many years, I also treated myself to the matching new Daytona Travel Star GTX boots when I bought the new dream bike. The future of fantastic touring is thus secured again.

I love my Daytona Lady Pilot GTX
This was day 1 in my new Daytona Lady Pilot GTX, that was a little over a month and 2300 miles ago, and I LOVE them, I love and appreciate them more every day!! They are comfortable, protective, and best of all, they allow me to get 2 feet down on my motorcycle which was a lifesaver on many occasions, greatly contributed to my confidence on my new motorcycle, and has been a wonderful experience!! I greatly recommend these boots to all female riders out there, they are a definite necessity if you are shorter and/ or riding a bike with a taller seat height!! Thank you Daytona for making such a fantastic boot!! Sherry Antony, USA

Accident at 70 km / h and thanks to Daytona nothing happened.
Thanks to all Daytona employees, thanks to you and your boots I was able to get up after an accident as if nothing had happened. I had an accident at 70 km / h, where a 250 kg motorcycle landed partially on my feet or boots and slipped a few meters. Even in the hospital, everyone was amazed that nothing more happened. The only injury I had was right there where the boot left off! I keep driving my Spirit XCR, even if it shouldn't be after an accident, but unfortunately there is not enough change for new ones. The feeling of security with Daytona is now phenomenal. Thank you, you are doing a great job. PS: The picture was taken after the accident. Jacek Ruth, Germany
My first boots were from Daytona
When I started riding my motorcycle, back in 1980, my first boots were from Daytona. I didn't know the company and didn't know that it wasn't that far away from me. Back then without Gore-Tex. Today I own a touring boot and a light shorty for the summer, both of course with Gore-Tex.

A safe grip even on ice and snow
I spent four nights in Tyrol with my buddy in July 2021. One of our tours went on the Kaunertal Glacier Road. From the glacier restaurant Weißsee parking lot, located 2.750 meters above sea level, we walked into the accessible crevasse. My Daytona Journey boots gave me a secure hold even on ice and snow and my feed stayed dry.

A good choice for extreme conditions
With 8 motorbikes, we made a four-week tour through Colombia in November 2021. During this time, we rode almost 5,000km through the whole country. Since we were on the road in the rainy season, I decided to take my Daytona boots with me. An incredibly beautiful, but also exhausting tour that none of us will forget. Through the Sierra Nevada up to 4,000 m at 4 degrees on the peaks but also 38 degrees Celsius in the north of this dreamlike country, in the Caribbean. Heavy rains flooded the roads - sometimes up to 45 cm high. Extreme temperatures and high humidity gave us a hard time. My Daytona always kept my feet dry. 8 hours a day in the boot was ok. No pressure or sweating in the boot. A good choice.
For me there is only one
After almost 20 years on the race track with various gravel bed stays and my third pair of Daytona EVOs, there's only one thing for me: a new pair of Daytona EVO GTXs. At over 50, I want to reach the finish line dry on my tours! Keep it up! Greetings Johann
The old and the new
Over 25 years old and 3 years old. Great Boots. Theo Bolder, Netherlands.
Between crash barrier and footrest - luckily with Daytona
Shortly after the start of our day's stage, I got caught on the opposite side of a bend and got my foot caught between the crash barrier and the footrest. I don't want to know what my foot would have looked like without my Daytona boots. So herewith a thank you to you. I am well again and am just about to choose the next pair of boots :) Best regards, Claudia, Germany
Now I am glad
Back then, at the age of 16, new to the passion of motorbikes and with no idea of anything at all, I went with my mother to the nearest outfitter for motorbike clothing, the one with the red L. There, the nice salesman managed to get me Daytona touring half-boots for over 300 euros. There's nothing like safety, but for a novice rider and new to the hobby with a 125cc, something cheaper might have done. Now, over a decade later, I'm glad I chose those boots back then. I still wear them, they don't look like new anymore, but the used look suits them well and they work anyway. I can't tell which model it is anymore, I suspect a predecessor of the current GTX range. The acid test was my trip to Norway in the Corona year 2021. Two weeks, my motorbike, a tent and me. And of course the Daytona boots. Whether 30°C in the sun or 6°C in the rain on the mountain pass - my Dayonta always offered me the necessary stability. Whether it was a short hike to the next waterfall or a small fall on the gravel passage, the boots accompanied me. More than 10 years and tens of thousands of kilometres later, I can say that nothing else will ever get on my feet but Daytona.
Pleasantly dry in the rain
During a stop with colleagues in Željava-Croatia. The route took us through all the countries of the former Yugoslavia. Unfortunately, we also had bad weather - eight hours of driving in heavy rain, and I can only confirm my pleasantly dry experience in your shoes, in my case Spirit GTX.
The Service-Burner
Dear Daytona people, it's nothing new that you produce the world's best motorbike boots, which are really worth every penny they cost, and that you repair these great boots in beautiful Bavaria within two to three weeks if necessary, is something that everyone is whistling about - and it's also on the homepage. But what I experienced with Daytona is a real bummer when it comes to service. The slide of the zipper on my almost new boot broke off. I sent the boot to you on Monday - and what did I get? On Wednesday I received a dispatch notification, and on Thursday I had the repaired boots back at home with an invoice for 0.0 EUR. That's what I call madness! Insanely good customer service, keep it up!!! LG Olaf
A true companion
I've been riding a GTX since 2013 and ordered new ones right after my fall because the zip broke - thanks to the boot, NOTHING happened to me. I'm thinking of having my "old" companion refurbished.
Two men, one pair of boots
Hello and a good day, my experience with Daytona: I was in Rijeka and met two men there who had an amputation on their left and right foot respectively. One evening we met in a bar and they told me that they met every three years to buy a pair of Daytona Evo. One bought the left shoe, the other the right. Well, there is such a thing ... Best regards
Work boots off, daytonas on
Hi, what do you do when you're planning a tour after work, with several friends, and a sudden snowfall shatters your weekend plans? Exactly ... Work boots off, daytona on ... feel good :))
No compromises when it comes to safety and quality
When my father got his motorbike licence in the 90s, I sometimes accompanied him to his practice lessons as a little boy and always found it exciting when he packed his clothes. At least I was allowed to wear his Daytona boots (the rest were too heavy for me). We didn't have that much money, but it was always clear that no compromises could be made when it came to safety and quality. So when I was finally allowed to get my driving licence, I was proud and happy to inherit his boots and always had a safe and slightly exalted feeling when I slipped into the Daytona. Since I also played football at the same time, it was important to me that my feet in particular were perfectly protected. In the meantime, I've been riding my father's boots for 12 years and it's time I bought new ones. I tried on different brands in the various motorbike shops, but I couldn't avoid having to choose Daytona again. For my 30th birthday I wished for new boots, which I will treat myself to in the coming weeks. Here's to many more beautiful, safe and comfortable kilometres :)
They have everything that is important to me
I've been wearing Daytona boots for 20 years and will buy them again this year, the fourth pair by now. Safety and dry feet are important to me, as well as a good fit.
I would also like to praise...
Hello! First of all: in preparation for the next trip, so during the obligatory boot care, the following thought: What an incredibly good pair of boots. I have to say thank you. They don't just stay tight and withstand almost everything. You can even walk properly in them. Climbing. City strolls. Swim across the English Channel. Dance through fire. OK, OVER water doesn't work - but through water it does. Even after many years and kilometres. And the right tip, which was scraped off in a fall right at the beginning, is holding up well and tightly, as if nothing had ever happened. I've almost given up grumbling and complaining, especially when supposedly high-quality, more expensive products turn out to be standard rubbish. The anger, however, continues to boil... . So it is all the more important for me to give you positive criticism - there is seldom enough reason to do so, but here it is even more important! So I would have poured this praise over your hairstyle even without a raffle. Anyway, I quickly searched for Daytona and was promptly invited to take part in the raffle on her home page. That's nice, but as a solo traveller you rarely take pictures with the focus on your feet/boots. So all that was left was a picture of a healthy and relaxed foot, even after thousands of kilometres... . By the way: Up to just above zero, my Arrow Sport GTX are so suitable for everything, especially in the worst heat, they are the only wearable shoes at all, that I ask myself: Why win ANOTHER pair? But I couldn't say no in view of THE quality either... ; -) And below five degrees it's ok, but not comfortable. The last two weeks of October '21 in the Dolomites proved it again. I'm not getting any younger either. SO GOOD, I would take it, hihihi...But more importantly: PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING, DON'T LET UP, IF NEED BE, PLEASE RAISE THE PRICE HIGH*!!!! CRAP IS AROUND EVERY CORNER - ONCE YOU CAN DO IT, IT'S GONE !!!! Anyway: thanks for still being able to run; thanks for so many feel-good miles; respect for consistent quality focus!Good time and good luck, Thomas *(The : "Dear price high!" comes from someone who has to save longer for such boots. And does so too.")
I treated myself to these
Hello, the picture was taken last summer, on my 40th birthday. I allowed myself the luxury of buying some good Daytonas. These already have racetrack experience and were run in on the track by one of my favourites. I snatched them from him because he was getting a new bike and needed something in a different colour.
All wet, socks dry, thanks to daytona
8 hours of continuous rain somewhere-in-the-nowhere in Poland, soaked hands, wet helmet pad, soaking jacket and trousers, BUT dry socks thanks to Road Star GTX.
Thank you for 35 years
Dear team, 35 years of motorcycling, 35 years of Daytona boots .... but at some point every sole is worn out ... and the next one will be another Road Star GTX. Simply a great boot, thanks to Daytona!
Thanks to my Daytona Boots
Bought my Daytona Sports Evo boots for track use in 2013. I was fortunate to be using my Daytona boots when I had my massive highside on the track at about 200 km/hr. The incident left me with a dislocated shoulder and two broken fingers but thanks to my Daytona boots I had no injuries at all on my feet. No even a single bruise on my feet even though the boots outer layer was torned. I only wear Daytona boots for riding now and will recommend Daytona to all my motorcycle friends.
From Helsinki to the Black Sea
I've worn the Daytona boots since 2012 (!) from Helsinki to the Black Sea. One or two years ago I wanted to buy new ones from Louis, but found out that the GTX don't fit. My instep is too high (I was also in contact with them). So I still have the boots in use. Maybe I can make it to Eggenfelden to your shop ... Many greetings U. Frank
Starting my boy young
He is desperate for a trip on my motorcycle.
Airy on the road with daytona
With friends to our motorbike friends in France 2020, with the short boot always breezy on the way.
With biker buddy and Daytona boots 2019 in Sardinia
The boots have been through a lot
The picture shows me in Australia with a pair of Trans Tour GTX in 2011. I bought the boots in 2011 and had them resoled this year. The boots have been through a lot: three-week enduro round trip in Australia, commuting as often as possible, several big holiday tours, mostly to Italy, initially also several enduro and cross trainings. Got real cross boots now. But the Daytonas have survived without damage. The successor will probably be the TransTourMan GTX, as I also ride my multistrada without rubber attachments on the rests.
What a quality ... after 30 years
In 1990 I bought Daytona Le Mans boots. I've been driving it for over 10 years. After that, they stood unnoticed in the cellar for almost 20 years. Now I've got myself a motorcycle again and lo and behold, as if I had never taken off my boots. What an excellent quality! Thanks very much!
Thank you very much!
I sent my boots in for repair 14 days ago. At first I thought about whether it was worth it, new soles and a shift reinforcement as well as a grinding point on the boot. But then I just sent them in to see how it would work out. Yesterday, after 14 days, my boots were back, neatly repaired at an excellent price. I'm glad I made the decision I did ... Thank you very much! Greetings Dirk C.
